Uniforms must strike a balance between protection, comfort and function. This balance starts with the base materials, which is why at ADA we invest over 1.5 million dollars every year to research and develop new and existing textile technologies. Combining materials both new and old allows us to create high-performing solutions that match the purpose of the uniform with the needs of the wearer.

Our R&D team contains a broad spectrum of skill, and includes an in-house team of six full-time staff with a range of academic qualifications in industrial design and textile science.
Undertaking activities in all areas of textile development our team have significant knowledge in textile technology, covering spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and printing procedures and processes.

Our comprehensive material testing covers more than the physical and mechanical properties of each material as set out in our unique client specification.
To validate new innovations, our team also studies the chemical properties of all textiles, polymers, metals, and fibres used in our products allowing us to combine and layer materials to ensure the best solutions.

Our team have extensive experience and knowledge in testing standards and work with both local and offshore test labs to ensure all testing and certification requirements are met.
