What is DISP?

The Defence Industry Security Program is a multi-level, membership-based program underpinned by the Defence Security Principles Framework— specifically, Principle 16, Control 16.1, Defence Industry Security. Think of it as essential security vetting for Australian entities aiming to work with Defence.

The Purpose of DISP

The DISP program ensures that ADA:

  2. 02 Receives access to security advice and support services
  3. 03 Understands and manages security risks effectively
  4. 04 Provides assurance to Defence and other government entities when collaborating with DISP members

The Benefits of DISP

Access to Defence security services that prepare entities to be Defence-ready.

The ability to sponsor security clearances (for higher membership levels).

Access to security training, materials, and cyber security guidance.

Up-to-date security information to aid in effective security practices and planning.

Greater access to international contracts, with the possibility of having security clearances recognised by international partners.

An improved security operating environment through strengthened security practices.
